Hello! I’m Cindy, a cubicle monkey (or a petite traveler, as I’d like to call myself) with an insatiable wanderlust.
I’m currently in my late 20s and happily married to the love of my life.
When I am not on the road, I hold a corporate job as a regional social media manager of a global hotel chain and when I am not stuck in my square cube, I’m most likely hunting down the next remote village or UNESCO site in some corners of the world, with my husband. In between, you can find me at the ceramics studio, creating beautiful mugs and house hold items from clays.
My Thoughts on Travelling:
I was a late bloomer at travelling but the instance I stepped foot in India, my very first adventure, I was hooked!
I’m also an advocate of solo traveling. Traveling alone gives you a sense of independence and courage. More often than not, it gives me the chance to ponder on thoughts. I do love the solidarity and the chance to be at peace with myself.
What are some of your best travel memories?
Oh, this is easy! One of them was going for the sunrise tour at Borobudur Temple in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and watching theHimalayan sunrise in Nagarkot, Nepal. My favourite part of this was at dawn, when you see a tinge of brightness illuminating the morning dark sky. It gives you a sense of hope 🙂
Another one that I really like was having a picnic at the garden by the Eiffel Tower. We packed a bottle of wine, chips and cheese and did nothing but sat there, chatted and stare at the Eiffel for hours, till the tower lit up with its glittering lights.
Finally, during our trip to Milan, on our last day, we decided to have a pint of beer and a gelato outside, when temperature was at a chilling 2 Degrees Celsius! 🙂
What is Vaz Adventure?
It’s my digital diary where I chronicle and hopefully entertain and amuse you about my stories and thoughts while on the road. Join me on my journey as I attempt to travel the world, one bunny hop at a time.
