My Dearest Papa, If I could name one of the most beautiful things in the world that I’ve seen, I’m sure the sunrise view of Himalayas would rank within top 5. I remember waking up at 5am (we almost couldn’t make it due to laziness!) just to catch the sunrise, which was the entire purpose of our trip up to Nagarkot. With our groggy eyes, we put on a few layers of clothing (3 to be exact!) as it was really cold outside our room, being 7,200 feet above sea level, surrounded by snow capped Himalayan mountains. I estimated that it would have been around 2 Degrees Celcius that morning. Everyone who woke up for sunrise in Nagarkot had thick… View Post

Pheri Bhetaula, Nepal. I’ll see you again soon.

A friend told me that after visiting Nepal, I will never come back the same person that I was. He was right. Visiting Nepal was a life changing experience for me and I know now, why my late dad had always wanted to visit, but sadly never got the chance to. I’ve experienced and learnt so much about the culture in Nepal in such a short span of time that I felt compelled to share these wonderful experiences with you, in the hope that you too, will take the leap and experience this beautiful country for yourself. Visit Nepal – Nepal Travel Visa & Tips For First Timer

“Welcome to Nepal, weather outside is a lovely 22 degree Celsius. Thank you for joining us on this journey, we hope to see you again soon.” the pilot’s voice blared through the plane’s audio system. I can’t believe this – after 2 weeks of last minute planning to visit Nepal, I’ve officially arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal, a place I’ve read so much about, but yet to experience. There was a mixed feeling of fear and curiosity as I disembarked from the plane and head towards the immigration point. So many things ran through my mind: what if I’m denied Nepal Travel Visa on arrival? What if my airport pick up is not here? What should I do next? So many… View Post

Nagarkot Nepal – A Love Affair

Nagarkot Nepal – A Love Affair

You’ve awaken all my senses. You’ve filled my eyes with lush green sceneries of pine trees, rice terraces and rolling hills. Occasional sightings of little cottages and huts was a sensual delight. You’ve filled my nostrils and lungs with fresh air as we go up, up and beyond the beautiful hill.… View Post
