Traveling to Europe this time round, I found myself to be much better prepared. There are essential items that needs to be packed like sweaters and clothing to keep you warm, hats, and sunnies. Then, there are also other travel essentials for women during cold weather, like these ones below! I’ve personally used them and found them to be very helpful.
Himalaya Nourishing Skin Cream
The cream contains extracts of Aloe Vera and smells amazing! For dry cold weather, it works really well in moisturizing our dry skin and doesn’t even leave grease on our faces! It’s so good I didn’t even have to put on my foundation! I used the skin cream as a base and just use compact powder and lip balm! I vouch for this skin cream, and still use it on a day to day basis even after I am back in Malaysia!
Here’s a tip: If you suffer from dry skin on hands, elbows and feet – Apply this skin cream in circular motion, twice a day till cream is absorbed into your skin. It worked like magic for me. All in all, it’s one of the best accidental discovery I’ve made.
Having experienced really dry weather in Europe, my skin started breaking out in pimples. Luckily, my husband purchased a tube of neem cream prior to our trip!
Neem leaves has a combination of antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which are really helpful against acne and pimples. It contains a powerful ingredient called quercetin that reduces acne induced problems and keeps the skin soothed and cool! After two days of applying neem cream onto the pimples, they vanished, without leaving any scars too!
Colourburst Revlon Lip Balm Stain
Let me start by saying this – I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I kid you not! I’ve been searching for the longest time, for a lip balm that stays on for a long period of time, and thanks to my cousin, I finally did! Revlon Color Burst Balm Stain comes in the form of a crayon stick with a moisturizing balm fused with a lightweight lipstain. So easy, especially if you’re on the go. No need for double application of lipstick and gloss! Best part is, even after wiping your mouth with a napkin after a meal, it still leaves a light pretty stain which means you can say goodbye to pale uncolored after meal lips! 😉
Seriously now – you need to get this! It’s one of the lightest, smallest and best travel essentials for women during cold weather.
Daiso Hand Warmers
Definitely my Fall season secret weapon! A lot of my friends weren’t aware of this, and hence, I’ve included this into my list of travel essentials for women during cold weather! Weather in Munich and Amsterdam this Fall was extremely cold with the lows as low as 6 degrees Celcius. With Oktoberfest being the focus of our Munich trip this time, we have had to spend quite a lot of time being outdoors or walking around the festival grounds. On cold days like this, these hand warmers are a saving grace.
Just remove them from the bag, shake them up, pop them into your pocket and you’ll have 8 hours of blissful warmth for your hands! At times, I pop them into my socks while sleeping too, so I can keep my feet warm! For RM5, you get a pack of 7 warmers, which is a real bargain!
If you don’t have a Daiso near you, here’s where you can get it from!
Stockings – My Number 1 Travel Essentials For Women During Cold Weather!
We’ve all heard about layering our tops, but what about our pants? There’s only so much warmth a pair of jeans can give, so layer up within with stockings for extra warmth! Even when I was wearing jeggings, I layered up within with stockings too! If there’s a little sunshine, a pair of thick stockings allow you to layer up with a pair of short denim skirt and still keep you warm enough!
Variety of scarfs
No matter what tops I’ve packed, I’ve always have had to cover them with my fall jacket because of the cold. So I switch them up with different scarfs. Here are 25 ways to tie a scarf.
A pair of comfortable boots that are made for walking.
*Cue These Boots Are Made For Walking music*
I’m a huge fan of Fall boots and this time, I’ve bought a nice brown one from H&M and they are so easy to match with almost anything!
You can almost certainly pair them up with a pair of jeans, jegging, leggings, denim skirt and even a pair of dress! They were so comfortable, I clocked a 10KM walk every single day in Rome while wearing them! If your mantra is to travel in style, make sure you get yourself a pair of nice looking boots!
There you have it – my 7 travel essentials for women during cold weather. I hope they help you out in being better prepared for the upcoming travel plans you have in place! Happy travels, folks!
